Forest Creation and Management

Methodology
The Kalpavrooksham Technique is a unique and proven methodology for forest creation and management worldwide, adaptable to various soil and climatic conditions. Over 3,000 forests have been successfully created using this technique.
Forests created using the Kalpavrooksham Technique are exceptionally dense, up to 30 times denser than conventional plantations. This high density contributes to superior noise and dust reduction, achieving improvements of up to 30 times compared to traditional methods.
An outstanding benefit of the Kalpavrooksham Technique is its exceptional capacity to absorb carbon dioxide. These forests can absorb up to 30 times more carbon dioxide than monoculture plantations, making them a valuable tool in combating climate change.
After three years, the forests created using the Kalpavrooksham Technique become completely maintenance-free, transforming into wild and native forests that require no additional care. These self-sustaining forests are free from chemical fertilizers and other chemicals, supporting local biodiversity.
The Kalpavrooksham Technique is an open-source methodology, encouraging individuals and groups to use its manuals to create forests. However, it is essential to emphasize the planting of native species and the adherence to a Potential Natural Vegetation (PNV) survey. Non-forest, orchard, ornamental, and non-native species should be avoided to maintain the authenticity and ecological balance of the forests.
In August 2019, trainers from the Kalpavrooksham Technique visited India to assess existing forests, conduct PNV surveys, and establish new forests. This experience highlighted the significance of the PNV survey and species selection in the forest creation process. As a result, the open-source manuals are being updated to provide more explicit guidance on conducting PNV surveys and selecting native species.
To enhance understanding and accessibility of the forest creation techniques, the Kalpavrooksham Technique is currently developing video tutorials that are easy to follow. These tutorials will serve as a valuable resource for individuals interested in learning about the technique. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates on the release of these videos.
